WildSmiles Inc. recently announced the recipient of our Fall 2019 resident scholarship; the company awards two $1000 scholarships annually to current residents attending accredited orthodontic residency programs.

Dr. Spencer Blackham is the recipient of the scholarship from our Fall 2019 deadline. Dr. Blackham is completing his residency at the University of British Columbia and will graduate in August 2020.

Spencer is currently in the final year of his orthodontic residency at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. Originally from Chicago Illinois, Dr. Blackham completed his DMD at Southern Illinois University. Following a family trip to the Pacific Northwest he fell in love with the region. The night before starting his residency Spencer and his wife welcomed their firstborn – a girl, Kensington. They look forward to welcoming a baby boy in March 2020. Upon graduation Dr. Blackham and his family look forward to re-locating to the Seattle area; where he plans to begin creating smiles that excite and last a lifetime!
